Kerala Hydel Tourism Centre
The electricity department is entering the tourism sector in Kerala in 2000. In the early days, the power department was unable to attract tourists, but later the power department was able to display activities that attract tourists in the form of the Hydel Tourism Center. More than ten Hydel tourist centers are now functioning under the power department. Dam visit, power house visit and boat trip are activities organized by the power department at hydel tourist centers.
